Frequently Asked Questions
We want you to know what to expect before you commit to attending. On this page you'll find information about housing, travel, and more.
1
Where is the camp located and how do I get there?
Back to Girlhood is taking place at Camp Friendship in Palmyra, VA. This woman-owned camp has been in operation since 1966! The camp is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by over 600 acres of scenic fields and forests. Take a virtual tour of the property.
2
Can I come solo?
Absolutely yes! We know it can be intimidating to attend an event by yourself, but we are intentional about helping you quickly make connections early in the weekend. One of the main goals of the event is to form bonds, expand our networks, and maybe even find lifelong BFFs. And research actually shows that spending a significant amount of time with someone helps develop friendships. So those nights in your bunk, walks to the cafeteria, and craft sessions are all chances to interact.
3
What are the accommodations like?
You'll be staying in a cabin with 5-7 other women, sharing an ensuite bathroom with 2-3 other women. When you picture in your head a summer camp cabin - this is what you'd see! View the Cedar Grove and Pine Grove Cabins.
Single/double rooms are sold out for the September 2026 event.
4
What's the cost?
Tickets range from $450-$525. You can also purchase a day pass for Saturday for $145.
